Jack started Upstream Living as a time-out from an overwhelming, fast-paced corporate job.

Upstream Living is built from a love for art, protecting the earth, adventure and outdoor lifestyle. Our purpose as a company is to ignite the intrinsic passion of our community too. We want to get you excited about life’s possibilities, and remind you to slow down, take time for yourself and appreciate the incredible beauty that has been created for us.
From road trips across the country with friends, to cold water swimming or learning to surf. These are moments and experiences we will never forget, and that’s the upstream way of living. Not getting too stuck in the ‘rat race’, that’s just bulls**t.
In order to share the love of outdoors and art across the world, It’s imperative we use our growing platform to serve in creative ways, however small that may be. We’ve started by teaming up with Tree Nation to plant trees for every product we sell in our online shop. Makes sense right, as we are using wood. We are always learning and excited to offset our CO2 emissions.
When we set out to make new products or create packaging, a lot of research goes into making these more sustainable and locally sourced.
